Students of the third grade school at the Agrupamento de Escolas de Amarante will virtually visit ATLAS at CERN as a part of an integrated unit on Physics that introduces them to how scientists learn about and explore Physics. The students will learn about how:
• Science Exploration is fun and exciting;
• Physics explores the frontiers of science;
• Particle physics explores and helps technology evolution and healthcare.
They will be shown how a particle collider works and will ask questions about the current scientific understanding of the Universe. Dedicated to igniting the potential of each child, this school tries to engage students to a scientific career and push them to discover and study scientific and technology topics.
